Micronutrients are chelated with Ethylene Diamine Tetra-Acetic Acid (EDTA). Chelation is a chemical process where a chemical complex strongly attracts a mineral forming a stable compound, called a ligand in a cyclic or ring structure. It is a chelating agent, which means that its molecular structure allows it to bind to heavy metals. Ligands are organic compounds like Ethylene Diamine Tetra-Acetic Acid (EDTA) produces steady chelates with micronutrients. It keeps these metal ions in a soluble form supplying nutritional benefit to the plants.
Chelated micronutrients are utilized for foliar spray and fertigation.
Note: "Avoid spraing during strong sunlight hours, EDTA is sentitive to sunlight exposure."
