Water Soluble Fertilizers were introduced in India way back in the late 1990s. Till 2005, their usage was restricted to Maharashtra. By 2011, adoption of WSFs had spread on to the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. From 2011 onwards, many states of North India started using Water Soluble Fertilizers.
Water Soluble Fertilizers are fertilizers that are 100% water soluble which is applied through Foliar Spray and Fertigation techniques in which the nutrients are readily absorbed and used in the plant system without any wastage through evaporation, leaching and runoff.
Efficient fertilizers and fertilization methods are the ever-growing demand for agricultural products. Modern agriculture must supply crops with optimal rates of nutrients throughout the growth cycle in the most efficient manner, and without degrading soil and water resources.
