Coconut & Arecanut are among the most useful plants in the world. In India with the total annual production of 5734 million coconuts from 108.3 million hectares ranks third in the world. On the other hand, India produces 2,28,600 tones of arecanut from an area of about 2,00,000 hectares.In about 90 per cent of the areas and production of Coconut and Arecanut are concentrated in the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Assam and West Bengal.

The productivity of coconut & arecanut is very closely related to their general growth conditions and the number of leaves developed. The high yielding coconut & arecanut hybrids are getting popularized due to their capacity in bearing high nut and copra yield. Such hybrids are recommended only under high fertilizer management and well irrigated conditions. In order to attain optimum yield of coconut & arecanut palms nutrient management is one of the most important parameters to be considered. Nutrients play central role in growth and yield, which include number of nuts per plant and oil content.

Nutriment Coconut & Areca nut special is a specially formulated micro nutrient fertilizer for their luxurious growth and higher yield. It contains Zinc, Iron, Manganese, Copper, Magnesium, Boron, Calcium, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium and Molybdenum.

Calcium and Magnesium requirement are higher than phosphorus for Coconut and Arecanut plants, which is essential for formation of cell walls and take part in enzymatic actions in the coconut and arecanut palm. It also increases the uptake of potash under conditions of potash deficiency. Sulphur is essential for setting of fruits, hardening of kernel and influencing copra qualities in coconut & arecanut. In Coconut, Arecanut & Palm the zinc deficiency can cause dwarfed and deformed growth of tender leaves called rosette or little leaves formation. Recommendation:

for Coconut: Apply 200 gms per yielding plant and 100gms for young plant along with major fertilizers.

For Arecanut: 100gms for yielding plant and 50gms for young plant with major fertilizers.
